As a cyber threat specialist on our team, you’ll be trusted to help customers solve problems using the latest software. Using vulnerability risk assessments and threat monitoring, you’ll evaluate risks and make meaningful recommendations. You’ll help monitor security environments and identify security gaps through the eyes of an adversary.

You Have:

  • 5 years of experience with Information Assurance, DoD IA RMF, DoDI 8510.01 and NIST SP 800-160

  • Experience with developing and presenting technical information and presentations to non-technical audiences and clients, advising management on risk levels and security posture

  • Experience in supporting the maintenance of security policies or evaluating assessment documentation and providing written recommendations for authorization

  • Knowledge of achieving system certification, accreditation, assessment, and authorization, including ATCs, IATTs, and ATOs

  • Ability to perform in a team environment and complete tasks as assigned

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field and 5 years of experience with Cybersecurity, or 10 years of experience with Cybersecurity in lieu of a degree

  • IAM Level I Certification

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with intelligence Certification and Accreditation C&A procedures and POA&M tracking and resolution

  • Experience with DoD security technical implementation guides (STIGs), checklists, and DoD testing tools, including Gold Disk, Security Readiness Review Scripts (SRRs), SCAP, and the Retina Nessus ACAS scanning tool

  • Experience with weapons sustainment support

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles used to manage risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of information or data

  • Ability to provide system related input on cybersecurity requirements to be included in statements of work and other appropriate procurement documents

  • Ability to oversee policy standards and implementation strategies to ensure procedures and guidelines comply with cybersecurity policies

  • Ability to identify security requirements specific to an information technology (IT) system in all phases of the System Life Cycle

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering

  • DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Manager Level 3 Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
